Explore a 2200-year-old lava cave in the Blue Mountains and go horseback riding on the Icelandic horse through the lava fields of Hafnarfjörður. Our adventure starts when we immerse ourselves into the velvet darkness of the Leiðarendi lava cave. Exploring this magnificent lava cave and discovering the marvels that the volcano created more then 2000 years ago is a trip that everyone will enjoy. Leiðarendi cave is a perfect example of an Icelandic lava tube and it is situated in one of the most active volcanic areas in the world. We will climb, crawl and walk on our travel beneath the surface. When we emerge from the underworld we head for the Íshestar Riding Centre for lunch.
At the riding centre we saddle up and go for an adventurous horse riding tour. We explore the lava surrounding Mt. Helgafell volcano and ride through lava fields and across beautiful hillsides to the old Kaldársel sheep corral or to Lake Hvaleyrarvatn. All riding is on excellent riding paths with the beautiful Bláfjöll Mountains towering above on the horizon. This great adventure will show you the Icelandic lava fields from two very different angles, giving you a deep understanding of how Iceland was created and how the primeval forces of nature continue to shape it everyday!
Þessi samsetta dagsferð bíður upp á hestaferð um hraunið hjá Helgafelli í Hafnarfirði og hellskoðun í 2200 ára gömlum hraunhelli hjá Bláfjöllum.
Ferðin hefst klukkan 09:00 frá Artic Adventures Laugavegi 11. Farið verður í hellaskoðun í hraunhellinum Leiðarenda á Reykjanesskaga. Leiðarendi er gott dæmi um Íslenska hraunpípu sem er staðsett á helsta eldsumbrotasvæði á jörðinni. Eftir hellaskoðunina verður haldið í hádegismat í Hestamiðstöð Íshesta. Frá Hestamiðstöðinni munum við leggja á hestinn og halda í aðra ævintýra ferð á hestbaki. Riðið verður að Kaldárseli, í kringum Helgarfellið og að Hvaleyravatni. Ferðin endar í Hestamiðstöð Íshesta.

Kombinationsutflykt, Island. På denna dagsutflykt får du utforska en 2 200 år gammal lavagrotta i Blåfjället och följa med på en ridutflykt genom lavafälten i Hafnarfjörður.
Äventyret börjar då vi sänker oss ner i lavagrottan Leiðarendis sammetssvarta djup. Att utforska den magnifika lavagrottan och upptäcka de underverk som vulkanen skapade för mer än 2 000 år sedan är en njutbar upplevelse för alla. Grottan Leiðarendi är ett perfekt exempel på en isländsk lavatub. Den ligger i ett av de mest vulkaniskt aktiva områdena i världen. Vi klättrar, kryper och går på vår resa genom underjorden. När vi åter kommer upp i dagsljuset, styr vi vidare till Íshestars ridcenter för lunch.
På ridcentret sadlar vi på och drar iväg på en äventyrsfylld ridtur. Vi utforskar lavan som omger vulkanen Helgafell och rider genom lavafält och längs vackra fjällsluttningar till den gamla fåruppsamlingsplatsen Kaldarsél eller till sjön Hvaleyrarvatn. All ridning sker längs prima ridvägar med den vackra fjällkedjan Bláfjöll i bakgrunden.
Detta är ett stort äventyr som visar dig de isländska lavafälten från två mycket olika synvinklar. Du får en djupare förståelse för hur Island blev till och hur naturens urkrafter fortsätter att forma landet dag för dag!
